How to get here?

Barcelona Girona airport is a Ryanair hub and there are daily flights from Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Bournemouth and Bristol. Flights to Girona Barcelona from the UK are limited November to March, so its best to fly to Barcelona airport during these months.

By Car

Approximately 900 miles away from London. If you were to drive non-stop with no traffic it would take 14 hours and 1 minute to drive from London to Santa Pellaia! However, it is worth breaking up the journey and stopping in some of the lovely towns along the way. The drive takes you through Paris, Orleans and Clermont Ferrand, then down through the Pyrenees to Spain.

A potential alternative route is to go from Calais to Reims, down to Troyes and then across to Orleans. This is a longer route, but has the advantages of missing out Paris and reducing your toll bills.

We would recommend crossing the channel on the train as is saves a huge amount of time at the start of your journey, although it is normally a little more expensive.

Take the Eurostar to Paris, then the overnight train from Gare d’Austerlitz to Barcelona which stops in Girona at roughly 6am. The total journey time is approximately 14 hours and there is a daytime option as well.
